Yasser Al-Khadra, MD, FACC, is a highly trained cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston, Katy, and Cypress, Texas.

Dr. Al-Khadra is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography. He completed his General Cardiology fellowship at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. Then, went on for his Interventional Cardiology training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. During his fellowships, he was trained to perform high risk coronary procedures and chronic total occlusions.

Dr. Al-Khadra is well versed in multiple imaging modalities including PET scans, nuclear cardiology, cardiac computed tomography and echocardiography. He is skilled in complex coronary interventions, peripheral vascular interventions, patent foramen oval occlusion and management of pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thrombosis.

Dr. Al-Khadra has served as the director of study design and statistical analysis for the Cardiovascular Research Network research group and is well published with over 40 publications. His areas of interest in research include preventive cardiology, coronary artery disease, chronic total occlusions and transcatheter aortic valve replacement. His research has been presented in national and international conferences and collected many awards over the years.

Also, Dr. Al-Khadra is a professional musician who enjoys writing and arranging music on top of playing multiple instruments, the guitar being his main.
